To investigate the possibility of producing proteinase-free ß-galactosidase from Bacillus subtilis, the fast protein liquid chromatography system was used as a means for the rapid separation of ß-galactosidase. One step ion-exchange chromatography with the fast protein liquid chromatography system resulted in rapid separation of proteinase from ß-galactosidase with a yield of 75% in 30 min.
Key Words: ßbeta;-galactosidase proteinase Bacillus subtilis
