New officers for 1988-1989 are: from the Dairy Foods Division, Robert L. Sellars, Chr. Hansen's Laboratories, Milwaukee, WI, Vice President; and Stanley E. Gilliland, Oklahoma State University, Director. Elected from the Production Division is James L. Morrill, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Director.
Robert L. Sellars
Robert L. Setlars is Senior Vice President of Technology for Chr. Hansen's Laboratory, Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He received a B.A. degree in 1951 from Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana, and his M.S. degree in bacteriology and his Ph.D. in dairy bacteriology from Purdue University in 1955 and 1957, respectively. Early employment included the Dairy Department, and Maplehurst Jersey Farms, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana.
In 1961, Sellars joined Chr. Hansen's Laboratory, Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a subsidiary of Chr. Hansen's Laboratorium A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark. He was Manager, Research and Development, Culture Department, from 1961 to 1967; Director of the Culture Department from 1967 to 1977; Vice President from 1970 to 1977; Corporate Vice President and Director of Research and Development and Director of Quality Assurance,Milwaukee; and Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Research and Development in 1978.
