Emmett I. Robertson, animal nutritionist, died November 26, 1987.
Robertson was a 1932 graduate of Louisiana State University and received a master's degree from Washington State University in 1934 and Doctorate from Cornell University in 1946.
He had worked as an agricultural extension agent in poultry for King County, Washington, from 1934 to 1937 and as an assistant professor at Washington State University from 1937 to 1941. He served as secretary for the New York War Emergency Feed Commission. He was a poultry extension specialist, instructor, assistant professor, and associate professor at Cornell University from 1941 to 1948. From 1948 until his retirement in 1974, he worked as director of nutrition for John W. Eshelman & Sons Inc. feed manufacturers. while nutrition director, he did professional and technical writing.
Robertson served as animal nutrition officer with the Feed and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Libya in 1964, and he delivered several lectures and directed seminars abroad.
