ABSTRACT
Predicted Differences on 1187 Alpine, 323 LaMancha, 1358 Nubian, 489 Saanen, and 615 Toggenburg bucks for milk yield, milk fat yield, and milk fat percentage were analyzed for state and regional differences. There were significant breed, state, and breed by state effects for Predicted Difference milk and fat. Spearman rank correlations on state and on region averages, and on buck values, generally were positive and highly significant for Predicted Difference milk with Predicted Difference fat. Rank correlations for Predicted Difference fat with Predicted Difference percentage were often positive and for Predicted Difference milk with Predicted Difference percentage were consistently negative.
