INTRODUCTION
The Student Affiliate Division of the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA-SAD) held its annual meeting June 9-12, 1985 at the University of Illinois in Urbana.
An informal pizza and palaver reception welcomed SAD members on Sunday, June 9. Following this student reception, the SAD members had the opportunity to join the parent organization members at the ADSA opening session and informal reception.
The first business meeting of the 80th Annual Meeting was called to order on Monday morning by President Bill Moore. The minutes from the 79th meeting were read and approved. The SAD officers and advisors were introduced. Hoard's Dairyman staffer, Ewing Row, was the featured speaker.
The activities symposium immediately followed the first business meeting. Representatives from 10 clubs gave presentations on their most unique or successful club activities. Following the symposium, the entire group was divided into smaller groups for a round table discussion. Fundraising, membership, and promotion were among the topics of discussion.
