To the Members of the American Dairy Science Association:
It is an honor to have been selected as the host institution for the 79th Annual Meeting of the American Dairy Science Association on June 24-27, 1984.
On behalf of the Texas members of ADSA, including those from other Texas universities and the dairy industry, along with our students, faculty and staff, I extend warm greetings to you and your coileagues. This is the f i r s t time your organization has held an annual meeting in our State and we are planning a Texassized welcome for you in June.
The dairy industry is an important component of the total agricultural economy of Texas. Within the A&M System, we have significant programs in dairy research, extension education and academic instruction that directly impact dairying in Texas.
