Reorganization of the Board

President Schultz called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 1983, and welcomed the newly elected Vice President, B. R. Baumgardt, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, and Directors H. H. Van Horn, University of Florida, Gainesville, and R. L. Richter, Texas A&M University, College Station.

New branch officers were announced., for the Northeast Branch, President, L. H. Muller, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park; Vice President, R. David Smith, Cornell University, Ithaca; and Secretary-Treasurer, H. F. Tyrrell, USDA, Beltsville, MD; for the Southern Branch, President, R. L. Richter, Texas A&M University, College Station; Vice President, A. H. Rakes, North Carolina State University, Raleigh; and Secretary-Treasurer, G. T. Lane, University of Kentucky, Lexington.

Marshall mentioned that the Executive Committee had recommended in April that John Campbell be appointed Treasurer to replace Tim Blosser, who had completed 3 yr as treasurer. This appointment is made yearly and the maximum period of service is 3 yr. Richardson moved to approve this appointment; Braund seconded; motion carried.
