• Dairy scientist, milking management and equipment (#8304), Cooperative Extension, University of California, Davis. Graduate training in engineering in preferred; candidate also must have a sound knowledge of dairy science through education or experience. Primary responsibility is to develop extension education programs and provide training in milking management and equipment for county extension staff and practicing veterinarians. Applicants must have a definite interest in and commitment to extension. Applied research and held trials are possible where the work supports the extension program. Candidate would be expected to interrelate with faculty in the milking management research area, including the Department of Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science and Technology,and School of Veterinary Medicine. Closing date is approximately May 1, 1983. Starting salary between $24,600–$28,600.
