ABSTRACT
During the past century fluid milk has been packaged in glass, waxed and plasticized paper, blow molded polyethylene, plastic sachets, and rigid polycarbonate containers. Materials to package milk aseptically are discussed. Various packaging concerns including sanitation, mechanical testing, toxicology and migration, temperature, humidity, light, plastic reuse containers, cost, and ecology are also highlighted in this overview of milk packaging.
