Mutanolysin for Improved Lysis and Rapid Protoplast Formation in Dairy Streptococci1

ABSTRACT

Mutanolysin, an N-accetylmuramidase, was more effective than lysozyme in lysing and in generating protoplasts of dairy streptococci.
