Chair, Department of Animal Sciences, Washington State University, to provide leadership and direction in reaching, research, and extension in a large, consolidated department. Qualifications required include: an earned Ph.d. degree, 10 years experience in teaching, research, or extension in animal, dairy, or poultry science and demonstrated evidence of leadership, communication skills, and involvement with animal industries. A 100% extension specialist position is available July 1, 1982. A Ph.D. in food sicence, dairy manufacturing, or related areas is required. Experience in extension work is desirable. Responsibilities include maintaining an active dairy manufacturing extension program and a food safety and sanitation extension program, serving the dairy and refrigerated foods industries, and interrelating with researchers and sicentists in areas of common interest.
