ADSA Awards Program

The program of annual awards and installation of officers was on Tuesday, June 30, in the Union Theater, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Thirteen awards were presented by representatives of the donors, and citations were read by chairmen of selection committees. The Association greatly appreciates the continued support of the donors in presenting annual awards to members of ADSA.

The ADSA Award of Honor is given to a member who has made unusually outstanding contributions to the welfare of the Association. Our 1981 recipient grew up on a dairy farm, and he has continued his enthusiastic commitment to dairying and the ADSA throughout his professional career in teaching research, extension, and administration.

The 1981 recipient joined the ADSA as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin in 1940. After serving in the US Navy from 1942 to 1946, he again became active in the Association while completing the Ph.D. degree.
