Student Affiliate Division Articular

Introduction

The 1981 annual meeting of the Student Affiliate Division was held in conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of the American Dairy Science Association on the beautiful Louisiana State University campus in the heart of bayou country. As a part of some of the anniversary celebrations, some of the Cajun cuisine, music, and customs were scheduled as part of the leisure entertainment. Sixteen universities were in attendance at this meeting.

Most of the clubs set up their displays upon arrival. The displays were finely constructed and not lacking in originally and style. Sunday evening the clubs had an opportunity to meet many of the members of the other clubs and of the parent organization at the informal dance that was scheduled.

The student program was officially opened Monday morning with a review of the previous year's minutes. Each officer reported what he had done in preparation for the meeting and briefly went over his respective duties of office.
