ABSTRACT

A cheap, simply designed, and compact 12-compartment automatic feeder for cattle is described. The volume of the machine is adequate to feed growing or mature cattle or high producing lactating cows during sophisticated experiments on metabolism. The feeder must be refilled every 12 h if hourly feeding is required.
