Report of Board Actions

ABSTRACT

T. H. Blosser, incoming President of ADSA, was called upon to give the highlights of the meeting of the Board of Directors which preceded the annual business meeting and items of interest of the Internal Affairs Committee during the past year. He announced the revision of the general rules and policies governing awards administered by ADSA which are available from the national office upon request. In addition, the individual nomination form and material describing each of the individual awards were updated.

Blosser announced that the 1978 National Association of Animal Breeders Award would be the last administered by the American Dairy Science Association. The Board of Directors of NAAB elected to present the research award at their own annual meeting. In this same area of awards, Blosser announced that the West Agro-Chemical Company will sponsor an award beginning in 1979 which will cover milk quality including mastitis and other milk factors affecting milk quality.
