ABSTRACT

Good communication uses more than one sense effectively. The sense having the greatest impact is sight, and good visuals can enhance a speaker's effectiveness greatly. One of the most effective of these is a well-prepared transparency. The transparency is also adaptable for answering specific questions. Presented here are ideas and illustrations on how the story of dairy cattle genetics can be told. Color is a most effective way to illustrate points and show contrast. To make points effective, special efforts must be made to use different approaches in a clear, understanding way.
