Memorial Arthur J. Morris, 1895–1978

ABSTRACT

Arthur J. Morris, Professor Emeritus of Dairy Science at Utah State University passed away on May 10, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Professor Morris served the American Dairy Science Association as secretary, vice chairman and chairman of the manufacturing section. He also served as state and regional membership chairman, as a division chairman, and as chairman of the host institution committee for the 1960 annual meeting at Utah State University.

In 1963 A. J. Morris was honored by the American Dairy Science Association when he was presented with the Milk Industry Foundation Teaching Award in Dairy Manufacturing.

Professor Morris was born June 15, 1895 in Draper, Utah. He attended Utah State University from 1915 to 1923 and graduated with a B.S. degree after taking time out to serve with the Field Artillery in France during World War I. He served as a teacher at the Branch Agricultural College in Utah State University in 1930.
