Retirement...

W. T. (Bill) Diamond, secretary-treasurer of the American Feed Manufacturers Assn., announced that he will retire following the association's 1977 convention. Diamond has been with AFMA for more than 30 years.

At the AFMA convention in New Orleans, the group's directors also approved the hiring of a new director of Communications in late 1976. The new director and other AFMA staff members will assume Diamond's duties when he leaves the organization.

• The 18th Annual Ruminant Nutrition Conference will be in the Conrad Hilton Hotel on April 3 at 7:30 pm, in conjunction with the meetings of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology in Chicago. The conference is entitled, "Post Ruminal Fate of Nitrogenous Components," and will be chaired by W. Chalupa (University of Pennsylvania).Speakers and topics are: W. G. Bergen (Michigan State University), Digestion and Absorption; E. M. Bergman (Cornell University), Metabolism of Amino Acids by the Gut, Liver, Kidney, and Peripheral Tissues; J. H. Clark and C. L. Davis (University of Illinois), Uptake and Metabolism by the Mammary Gland.
