The program of annual awards and installation of officers was on Tuesday, June 22, in the Jane S. McKimmon Extension Education Center. The seventy-first ADSA annual meeting was the first major scientific meeting held in the newly constructed facilities. Nine awards were presented by representatives of the donors and citations were read by chairmen of the selection committees. The Association greatly appreciates the continued support of the donors in presenting annual awards to members of ADSA.
Citation for Dale R. Waldo Recipient of the 1976 American Feed Manufacturers Award
The recipient of the 1976 American Feed Manufacturers Award was born at Eau Claire, Michigan, in 1929. He received the B.S. degree from Michigan State University in 1953 in Dairy Production and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University in 1955 and 1957 majoring in the area of Dairy Nutrition.
The recipient has devoted most of his research career toward improving the yield and nutritive value of forage crops for ruminants.
