Retirement...

Donald V. Josephson retired at the end of June 1975 after serving for 27 years as head of the Department of Dairy Science at the Pennsylvania State University. He is pictured receiving a tray inscribed with the signatures of the executive committee members of the College of Agriculture from James M. Beattie, left, Dean. Josephson's total service to Penn State and the Commonwealth has covered 33 years. In 1958, he was the 42nd president of the American Dairy Science Association.

Awards and Honors...

Charles M. Stine of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Michigan State University was presented with the 1975 Wm. V. Cruess award June 7 by the Institute of Food Technologists at its 35th annual meeting in Chicago, IL.

The award honors a person who has achieved excellence in teaching food science and technology. It consists of a medal and a $1000 honorarium donated by the Northern California Section of IFT.
