The Program of Annual Awards and Installation of Officers was on Tuesday, June 24, in University Auditorium, Kansas State University, Manhattan. Nine awards were presented by representatives of the various donors, and citations were read by chairmen of the selection committees. The Association greatly appreciates the support of the donors, especially the latest contributor, the Ralston Purina Company, which now annually sponsors a teaching award in dairy production.
CITATION FOR PAUL WAYNE MOE RECIPIENT OF THE 1975 AMERICAN FEED MANUFACTURERS AWARD
The recipient of the 1975 American Feed Manufacturers Award was born in Lake Mills, Iowa in 1936. In 1958, he obtained a B.S. degree in Dairy Husbandry from Iowa State University. He earned his M.S. degree in Dairy Nutrition from Michigan State University in 1960, and his Ph.D. degree in Animal Nutrition from Cornell University in 1964.
The recipient is a hardworking, dedicated, careful, and talented research worker who has made a significant contribution to the formulation of an accurate and practical net energy feeding standard for lactating dairy cattle.
