Presidential Address

ABSTRACT

Vice President Mitchell, Dr. Norton, faculty and staff of Kansas State University, officers, members, and friends of the American Dairy Science Association: On behalf of our Association, I express our deep appreciation and thanks to our hosts for the planning, the hard work, and the cordial hospitality displayed on the occasion of our 70th Annual Meeting. Kansas and Kansas State have a rich tradition in dairying, and it is appropriate that our 70th Annual Meeting be held on a campus which has contributed so significantly to our Association.

The officers and directors also extend thanks to Dr. J. L. Albright, Chairman of the Program Committee, and to all committee members for their devoted and productive efforts in developing the outstanding program we shall be privileged to enjoy this week. The work of the committee began in earnest even while last year's Annual Meeting was in progress. During recent years, special emphasis has been given to develop a program that includes the priority topics which industry and the profession sense to be on the cutting edge.
