Robert L. Latzer, director emeritus of the board of directors of Pet Incorporated, died Dec. 7 at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, MO, after a brief illness. He was 87.
In 1908 Latzer joined the evaporated milk company founded by his father that was to become the Pet Milk Company and later Pet Incorporated. In 1952 he became president of Pet and was elected chairman of the board in 1959. He was named honorary chairman seven years later and in 1970 Latzer retired and was named chairman emeritus.
