Student Affiliate Division Articular

ABSTRACT

The student affiliate division of ADSA met June 23 to 26 at Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Clubs attending the meeting were: University of Missouri, Kansas State University, Louisiana State University, Ohio State University, Texas A & M University, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Penn State University, Iowa State University, South Dakota State Univesity, University of Georgia, West Virginia State University, Cornell University, Purdue University, University of Guelph, and Michigan State University. An Informal gathering on June 23 began the activities. The Following morning members attended a symposium on Ontario's Central Milk Testing Program followed by a tour of the Central Milk Testing Lab.

The first business meeting opened that afternoon followed by the Undergraduate Paper Contest. Marty Wilson from the University of Georgia won first place with his paper on the French straw method for AI in dairy cattle. Second place went to Renee Bunkers of South Dakota State University who gave a paper on new nutrition labeling requirements.
