ABSTRACT
A simple technique is described for preparing highly purified
-lactalbumin by adding 30% (weight/volume) polyethylene glycol 6000 to acid whey and fractionating the nonprecipitated proteins on DEAE Sephadex A-25. Disc. acrylamide gel electrophoresis confirmed the bimodal elution of highly purified
-lactalbumin from the column.
