Awards and Honors . . .
W. D. Knox, editor of hoard's Dairyman since 1949, more recently, president and general manager of the W. D. hoard & Sons Company, has been presented an Honorary doctor of Laws degree by the University of Wisconsin. This is another in a long list of recognitions that have come to knox, who joined the Hoard's Dairyman staff in 1941, a few days after receiving his B.S. degree in agricultural economics from Michigan State University. A member of the American Dairy Science Association, Knox was presented the Assocation's Distinguished Service Award in 1970.
Dr. Clifford Burton, 20-year staff member at Oklahoma State University, has been named recipient of the 12th annual Don M. Tyler Professor of Distinction award.
The award, consisting of $1,250 and a certificate, is in recognition for outstanding accomplishment in the OSU Department of Animal Sciences and Industry. Burton serves as dairy extension specialist and coordinator for all extension activities in the department.
