ABSTRACT

Dr. William J. Barnes has been appointed to the dairy science staff at Utah State University as Area Dairy Extension Specialist. A native of Arizona, he attended the University of Arizona and obtained a B.S. degree from Arizona State University. Graduate studies in animal nutrition were taken at North Carolina State University where he was awarded the M.S. degree, and the Pennsylvania State University where he completed the requirements for the Ph.D. degree. He will live near Salt Lake City and will coordinate dairy programs in five counties. He is an active member of the American Dairy Science Association and the American Society of Animal Science.

James L. Reeves, Vice President of Corporate Planning for Mid-America Dairymen, Inc., was elected Chairman of the Milk Development Board of Dairy Research Incorporated at the meeting of the Board in Atlanta, Georgia, January 10, 1973. The Milk Development Board, which is composed of top executives of six of the nation's largest dairy cooperatives, was formed in November 1972.
