The President's Comments

E. N. Boyd, ADSA President

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg

ABSTRACT

The Program Committee met prior to the Executive Committee meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, October 26, 1973. Chairman Bob Marshall and his committee are well on the way towatd organizing the programs for the 69th Annual Meeting at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Cabada. Drs. Irvine and Stone were present representing the host institution.

Several symposia will be held again this year — some with invited speakers. The Dairy Foods Division has planned five symposia:

  1. Continuous Cheese Making
  2. Applications of Enzyme Technology to Dairy Manufacturing
  3. Milk Proteins in Dairy and Food Processing
  4. Milk Synthesis (joint with Production)
  5. Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products.

Symposia planned for the Production Division are:

  1. Protein and Amino Acid Nutrition in the High Producing Dairy Cow
  2. New Concepts and Developments in Trace Element Nutrition
