ABSTRACT
This paper describes a technic which has been used to determine both nitrate and nitrite nitrogen in water, whole blood, milk, urine, and from aqueous plant extracts. The technic combines an adaptation of two published methods and obviates some drawbacks of the more popular colorimetrie procedures. The useful range of sensitivity for the combined determination is .15 to 1.5 µ/ml for both nitrite and nitrate nitrogen.
