Fifty-sixth Annual Sessions of the International Dairy Federation (IDF). The Japanese National Committee of IDF of which Dr. Tomokichi Tsugo is president, has announced the 56th annual meeting of the IDF to be held in the Takanawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo October 9–13, 1972.
Documents issued at the sessions will be in English and French insofar as possible. Discussions at meetings will be in English, French, and German with simultaneous translations. However, there may be only low-key translations available for German.
Extensive and interesting tours are planned for visits to dairy plants, milk dairy production areas, to research centers, to commercial and industrial areas, to historic places of ancient cultures, to famous architectural palaces, shrines, and temples that were built between the years 710 to 794 A.D., and to areas of scenic beauty.

"Because of its economic, technological and hygienic importance, the understanding and systematic control of mastitis in cows is in the interests of all countries where dairying is a major industry: To the milk producer and to agriculture, mastitis is in many countries, the most complex of diseases affecting animal production; in the dairy industry, the changed chemical composition of the milk from animals with mastitis, and the possible risk of residues of drugs used to treat them, may have a harmful influence on the suitability of milk for processing and the quality of the products made from it.
