ABSTRACT

The use of a spacer gel, in vertical polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for ß-lactoglobulin typing, gives better results than previous methods where only one gel concentration was used. The method is a modification of that in Technical Bulletin 140 of the E-C Appartus Corporation. The advantages of the method are speed, improved resolution, economy (cost of chemicals reduced by 50%), and dependability.
