Dr. John W. Hibbs, a member of the Ohio dairy science research staff for 27 years, has been named professor and associate chairman of the department of dairy science at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and The Ohio State University, at Wooster.

Hibbs assumed responsibilities of his new position November 8 upon return from a 2-year assignment as research advisor in animal nutrition at Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar, India, under the Ohio State University U.S. Agency for International Development program.

J. W. Hibbs, A native of Ohio, Hibbs holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from The Ohio State University. He began his long association with the Research Center in 1941 as a graduate assistant and became a full-time member of the staff in January 1943. He was appointed to the Ohio State University Dairy Science Faculty in 1948 and has held the rank of professor in the dairy science department of both institutions since 1953.
