Disappearance of Methionine from the Rumen

ABSTRACT

Seven forms of methionine were tested for persistencies in the rumen after 50 g doses intraruminal to mature cows. The mean half-time of disappearance was 2.4 hr and dl-rnethionine persisted as well as the other forms.
