Activation Analysis of Gold-197 for Measuring Rate of Ingesta Passage in Ruminants

ABSTRACT

Rate of ingesta passage was measured by a technique employing stable gold-resin complex and another technique using stained straw particles. Gold was analyzed by neutron activation. The gold-resin technique measured similar relative differences in rate of passage to the stained straw technique.
