ABSTRACT

C. W. Nibler retired July 1, 1970, after 40 years as extension dairyman at the University of Nebraska.

A native of Boise, Idaho, Nibler joined the Nebraska staff in 1929 as an instructor in dairy husbandry and subsequently served as county agent in Kimball and Scotts Bluff Counties. He became extension dairyman in 1944. Nibler received a B.S. degree from the University of Idaho and an M.A. from the University of Missouri.

Since his retirement, he and Mrs. Nibler have continued to reside at 1201 North 37th St., Lincoln, but he has kept active in the dairy industry. He serves as secretary of the Nebraska Holstein Associations.

Crawford W. Nibler, known as "Nibs" to associates and clientele for many years, made many outstanding contributions to the Nebraska and national dairy industry, has received many honors and has been active in many organizations.

He has served as secretary of the Nebraska Inter-Breed Dairy Council and is still in this post.
