ABSTRACT

Introduction

Beyond the request for universal peace the most important concern is how do we properly feed the people in the world today. Of almost equal importance is, how are we going to provide improved diets to people in the future. We must recognize that the rate of population increase is moving up at a faster rate than food production, at least in many countries of the world. We must further recognize that too many people are eating poorly. Moore of these people are living in countries where agriculture and food production are at least developed. Focusing attention on how to improve these situations, I believe major emphasis must be given to basic education of the masses, this together with incentive and opportunity for the people to become more productive and therefore better fed. Many people need to acquire the knowledge of why they need a better diet, what constitutes a better diet, and they need a better opportunity to achieve a more adequate food supply.
