The Ohio State University will host an International Symposium on Livestock Wastes, April 19–22, 1971. The broad objectives of this interdisciplinary Symposium are to bring together scientists, engineers, educators, public officials and industry representatives to discuss current research and development efforts; to evaluate current technology; and to stimulate work in livestock waste management systems. The Symposium is intended to be of most value to those who are interested in the technology of agricultural waste management. It is not designed to be a session lamenting the complexity and magnitude of the livestock waste problem. Of the 160 abstracts of technical papers submitted, 96 were selected by the Program Committee on the basis of originality of project, status of work, significance, and adequacy of abstract preparation. A. booklet of abstracts has been prepared and will be distributed to conferees at the time of registration.
