ABSTRACT

Body weights of experimental cows withheld from water for four hours before weighing were as variable as weights of cows with continuous access to water. Weights of cows with access to water can be adjusted to weights without water by multiplying by 0.964. This is more accurate than subtracting a specified amount of weight.
