Combining Predicted Differences for Economic Sire Selection1

ABSTRACT

A method of combining predicted differences for milk and fat into an economic index for bull selection is explained. The relative emphasis to place on milk and fat will depend on the price of milk and on the fat differential of the payment schedule.
