ABSTRACT
Milk, urine, and feces from four cows ingesting Imidan in silage at a daily average of 0.22 mg/kg body weight were free of Imidan and Imidoxon (milk and urine <.002 ppm; feces <.004 ppm) which indicates that this amount of Imidan is probably converted into unidentifled products before excretion. Milk and feces from four cows ingesting Bidrin in silage at a daily average of .25 mg/kg body weight were free of Bidrin and Azodrin (milk <.002 ppm; feces <.004 ppm). Bidrin and Azodrin in urine from these cows averaged 0.08 and 0.178 ppm, respectively. Except for the 26% depression of blood cholinesterase activity in cows fed Bidrin, all animals fed Bidrin and Imidan appeared normal throughout the feeding periods of 28 and 42 days, respectively. The feed intake and milk production of these cows were not different from that of cows fed untreated silage.
