Kinin-like Activity in Bovine Milk

ABSTRACT

Cow's milk contains a protein which, when incubated with trypsin or snake venom, releases a material with the kinin-like ability to contract smooth muscle. This protein has been partially purified and was found to have a molecular weight of approximately 70,000.
