Page Charge for Manuscripts Published in the Journal of Dairy Science

ABSTRACT

Because of the increasing cost of publication of the Journal of Dairy Science, the Committee on Journal Management has recommended institution of a page charge for manuscripts published in the Journal. This recommendation has been approved by the Board of Directors of the American Dairy Science Association and by the membership at the 1967 annual meeting. Therefore, the page charge will be initiated with the following provisions:

1. The page charge will be $20 per Journal page.
   
2. The charge will apply to all manuscripts received subsequent to December 31, 1967.
   
3. The American Dairy Science Associationhas established a fund to defray page charges of authors who are unable to pay the charges and whose institution or organization is unable to do so. In this event, the author must present a statement to this effect to Executive Secretary C. J. Cruse of ADSA.
   
4. Notice of the amount of the page charge will accompany the galley proof. It will also carry a statement to be signed by authors who must request payment from the special ADSA fund.
   
5. The page charge on review articles and other articles requested by the Editor can be charged against the special ADSA fund at the discretion of the Editor.
