Presidential Address

ABSTRACT

Dr. Jensen, we want to thank you for making time in your busy schedule to attend this opening session to extend the greetings of this fine University and of the beautiful state of Oregon to the members and friends of the American Dairy Science Association. The large group in attendance here in Corvallis is a tribute to the drawing power of this region, this University and the excellent program which has been arranged for our meetings. The American Dairy Science Association wants to thank each and every one of those, both at our host institution and on numerous Association committees who have worked to make this meeting a success. Jack Miller, Harold Ewalt and all their associates here at Oregon State have done a splendid job of setting up the arrangements. We are indebted to Paul Reaves and the other members of the Program Committee for organizing an outstanding program of scientific sessions and symposia.
