ABSTRACT

If you are in need of, or interested in, a ready reference to a bibliography of the world's literature on cheese, then the book Cheese, Volume 2, should be purchased. This volume is unique because 6,803 references are listed, alphabetically by author, giving title of the article, journal in which published, and date of publication. Furthermore, to make this volume still more valuable, a Subject Index is included which makes it possible to find in a few moments where information is available on any aspect of a cheese problem.

Dr. Davis makes no claim that the bibliography is absolutely complete, but certainly no omissions have been made of articles which have appeared in reputable publications through 1961. Volume 4 will include an additional bibliography of cheese literature covering the period 1962–66. The library work of graduate students searching the literature about cheese has been made easier because Dr. Davis and his assistants have labored so long and so well.
