ABSTRACT

Obituary

Claire Baker Shogren, Claire Baker Shogren, former Vice President and Director of Eeonomies Laboratory, Inc., died December 17, 1965, in Windermere, Florida, after an extended illness. He was 62 years old. Mr. Shogren was President and Director of Klenzade Products, Inc., BelolL, Wisconsin, a sanitation chemical firm for the dairy and food industry, which he expanded to $9,000,000 and then merged with Economies Laboratory, Inc., in 1961. Mr. Shogren was active in dairy and food industry associations and strongly supported tile International Association of' Milk and Food Sanitarians. One of his major accomplishments C. B. Shogren was the establishment of the Klenzade Educational Seminar, which brought togetEer, annually, leaders in education, public health, and industry in the interest of better sanitation methods for milk and food products.The high quality and professional status of these programs is recognized internationally by the Public Ilealth Service. Mr. Shogren was educated at Lawrence College, Appleton, Wiseonsin and also at the University of Wisconsin.
