ABSTRACT

C. L. Wilcox Named Superintendent

Clifford L. Wilcox, associate professor of dairy husbandry and extension dairyman at the University of Minnesota, has been named superintendent of the University's Agricultural Experiment Station at Rosemount, effective July 1.

Wilcox will take the position vacated by A. C. Heine, who retired after 48 years on the University staff and 15 years as superintendent of the station. The Experiment Station at Rosemount contains about 2,700 acres and is a field laboratory for the St. Paul Campus. Various departments have assigned areas on which they conduct research projects.

Wilcox has a background of experience in cattle research, breeding, and teaching and extension education. He did his undergraduate work in dairy husbandry at Utah State University and received his Ph.D. in dairy cattle breeding at the University of Minnesota in 1959.

Dr. W. P. Flatt Receives Citation

Dr. W. P. Flatt, of the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. received the Presidential citation for an outstanding contribution to agricultural research.
