ABSTRACT
This symposium was planned and arranged by the International Relations Committee of the American Dairy Science Association. The committee members were C. H. Noller, J. C. Olson, H. C. Trelogan, K. L. Turk, and R. E. Hodgson, Chairman.
As indicated by the general title and by the titles of the respective papers, the symposium is intended to portray the international relationships our Association has had in the past, and the various activities now current, and to consider some of the problems and opportunities confronting us.
Our speakers have engaged in a wide range of international activities, including participation as delegates to world dairy congresses, other world conferences of different kinds, and a variety of foreign service programs. As outstanding leaders and men of wide experience, they bring before us their views on the limitations, responsibilities, and the opportunities that face us as an Association.
Also appended is a paper by I. A. Gould, presented at the 1964 Past Presidents' dinner, Tucson, Arizona, June 21, 1964, in which he sets forth a number of items of concern to the Association and its future.
1 Presented at the 59th Annual Meeting of the American Dairy Science Association, University of Arizona, Tucson, June 1964.
