ABSTRACT
Several methods of evaluating the breeding value of bulls are in use. Sundaresan et al. (3) evaluated the breeding value of Tharparkar and Sahiwal bulls of the N.D.R.I. herd, using five of the sire evaluation methods. ) has been developed combining the desirable features from two of the five indices used in the earlier study. This index, called Dairysearch Method, was used to evaluate the breeding value of bulls used in the Tharparkar and Sahiwal herds, for milk production.
