New Appointments in Food Science at North Carolina State

ABSTRACT

W. R. Bellamy, a native of South Carolina, joined the staff at North Carolina State University as Research Associate in August 1965. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Dairy Manufacturing from Clemson University. His research will be concerned with pesticides in food and feed products.

Stanley E. Gilliland, a native of Oklahoma, was appointed in the department at North Carolina State University as Instructor in Food Science, September, 1965. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Dairy Manufacturing from Oklahoma State University. His research will be concerned with the effect of electro-hydraulic treatment on microorganisms.

Dr. W. M. Walter, a native of South Carolina, joined the staff at North Carolina State University as Assistant Professor in Food Science, June 1965. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Citadel and his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Georgia. Dr. Walter's research will be concerned with Carotenoids.
