ABSTRACT

Conclusions: Gamma globulin was not absorbed from the amniotic fluid in utero, or, if absorbed, the titer was not retained until birth. A calf taken prematurely by Cesarean section did not absorb gamma globulin when fed at 38 hr after delivery. Administration of growth hormone had no effect on permeability of the gut as measured by gamma globulin absorption.
